[link]Between this and the death of Harvey Pekar, it's been a sad year for eclectic artists. I remember being utterly mesmerized by Millenium Actress and the madness that was Paranoia Agent. Satoshi Kon knew how to warp reality better than any damn director, and his work solidified my belief that animation could tell serious stories without being realistic. He had a movie in the works that he described as a "road trip for robots"- I can only hope that he left enough notes to finish the movie his way, and as a final tribute. How many of you were inspired by Satoshi Kon?
I'm... in shock. He was one of my heroes. A true artist...
