Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

...It's the most-stressing time of the yeaaarrr~ I don't knoooow if it will blow, but have yourself a beer...root beer. Yeah. <.<

I hope you all aren't wigging out too much over finals. Me, I was pulling my hair out until about a week ago, when my brain decided to jump the gun and shift to Winter Break Mode, thus allowing me to not give a damn about anything. Surprisingly, this helped improved my mood wuite a bit and allowed me to finish my projects on time. I'll be posting some of that stuff tonight, hopefully you guys will find it interesting.

Okay, so you know who's awesome?

is awesome. Know why? She gave me a one-month premium account. I don't exactly know what to do with it, but I'll be darned if I can't figure out a good way to use it. I know there's some stuff you can do with fancy journal set-ups and whatnot, but I guess I'll figure that out later. In the meantime, go check out her gallery, it's totally boss. Seriously, go now. I can wait.

In the meantime, I'm totally psyched for this upcoming break. Not only do I get to see my old high-school peeps, but I'll also be seeing the love of my life

, who will be staying at my family's place for an extended weekend. We're giddily planning everything out, but we're most excited about being able to spend New Year's Eve together, which also just so happens to be our first anniversary. <3 Fingers crossed so that everything goes as planned.

I also wanna take the time thank you guys for checking out my stuff. Sometimes I feel a little self-conscious about posting art... "Does anybody care if I post this? Will anybody even wanna look at it? Do these pants make my afro look big?" So it always warms the cockles of my heart to see you guys commenting or faving or even watching my stuff, and I'm not just saying that so I can use a rather suggestive-sounding phrase. Really, you all are awesome. I've got a couple projects planned for the holiday season, including some secret santas, but hopefully it'll all be up before I head back to school again. So thanks again for tuning in, and I hope you all have a great end of 2010!

Well, I always start with a pre-made skin and I just replace the images and colors and such with my own. C: It's pretty easy if you have any knowledge of coding. (CSS specifically) Otherwise it can be a bit tricky.

I'd be glad to help you jazz up a skin if you provide an image for me to go off of!
