So I posted the WIP for this a while back, but I figured I should also let you guys see the finished product. A friend of mine is attending the University of Advancing Technology for Robotics, so she wanted me to design a poster with robots on it. I thought about it for a bit, and then came up with the idea of robot musicians. This is my first attempt at anything remotely resembling commercial design, unless you count the boxart I made for Psychonauts last summer.
The whole thing was made in Photoshop, because of all the programs I have on my computer, InDesign remains absent. So the title text is technically 'hand-drawn' with a square brush, as is the pixel text for the names. I tried to include as many sci-fi references as I could, and hopefully they'll be picked up on. The final image was well over a foot tall and, I'm told, is currently hanging on the front door of my friend's dorm.
