thanks for posting remind me of this other test where people were tricked into thinking they were testing people and giving them shocks for every wrong answer to see how long the people would shock the supposed person to prove that people could be cruel like the nazis to prove we could fall into that again if the circumstances were set up a certain way, but i cannot remember the name of it though

That'd be the Milgram experiment! It's a darn crazy story, too- it basically says that we innately trust authority figures and their orders, even if it goes against our common sense.
